DigiFabCon is an interactive, creative, inspiring event showing how anyone can change the world using the new tools of digital fabrication such as 3D Printing, laser cutting, microelectronics, artificial intelligence, CAD software, robotics and so much more.
Days 1 and 2 March 30 and 31:
Keynotes from Neil Gershenfeld, Director of the MIT Center for Bits and Atoms, Dale Dougherty, founder Maker Media, and Sherry Lassiter, Director of the Fab Foundation, dialogue with industry leaders, interactive presentations, panel discussions, and live demonstrations combine during 2 days to let you explore how 3D Printing and other Digital Fabrication technologies impact innovation, social entrepreneurship, education, job training, startup creation, manufacturing improvements…well, society as a whole.
A FabFest and Expo on March 30 from 5 – 8 p.m. features makers and innovators demonstrating their vision for the future.
Optional Day 3 April 1
Hands-on workshops at local maker spaces and fab labs in Cambridge, Somerville and Boston led by experts in digital fabrication and its application in the world.
